Wendy Ruediger

July 15, 1968 — September 24, 2017

Wendy Jean Ruediger, 49, of Breckenridge, MN, passed away in her home on Sunday, September 24, 2017. The celebration of her life will be at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, September 28, at United Methodist Church in Breckenridge; with a visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the church. Pastor Mark Gronseth will officiate the service and the interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Breckenridge.

Wendy was born in Breckenridge, MN, on July 15, 1968, the daughter of Donald and Lois (Dobberstein) Ruediger. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1986, and then attended Moorhead State University and Valley City State. In 2000, Wendy graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse from North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND.

A nurturing and compassionate person, Wendy worked hard at her jobs. Most recently, she worked at the Community Center in Breckenridge where her kindness played a big part in the lives of many teens and pre-teens in our area. She was also working at A Place for Friends in Breckenridge, which is a social place for adults diagnosed with mental illness.

Wendy’s faith was a guiding factor in her life. She was active in the United Methodist Church in Breckenridge and her family, especially her boys, Jacob and Justin, were her rock and a continued source of strength and love.

Wendy leaves to mourn, her two sons, Jacob and Justin and her mother Lois Ruediger all of Breckenridge; her siblings, Robert (Lisa) and their daughter Rena, of Brownsville, TX; Gregory (Becki) and their son , Josh, of Dothan, AL; and Connie (Rick) Coleman and their children, Kaitlyn, Alex, and Morgan, of Minot, ND; and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald in 1987; her grandparents, Alfred and Gladys Ruediger and Roy and Rhodia Dobberstein; her aunt, Avis Anderson; and her uncle, Myron Dobberstein.
