Ray McLaren, Jr., 36, Fargo, ND, formerly Foxhome, MN, died June 10, 2007 at Innovis Health in Fargo, following a motorcycle accident.
The funeral for Ray will be held on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 11:00 A.M at Breckenridge Lutheran Church, Breckenridge, MN. Pastor Mark Manning will officiate the service. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 14, 2007 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Interment will be at Bureau Cemetery, Foxhome, MN.
Ray is survived by: His daughter: Jordan McLaren, Fargo, ND; His fiancAC.: Elisa Wahl, Fargo, ND; His parents: Ray Sr. and Alameda McLaren, Foxhome, MN; His brothers and sisters: Ivan Eaves, Wenatchee, WA; Herman (Lois) Eaves, Rockport, IN; Mark (Dar) Eaves, Hermiston, OR; Billy (Billie) McLaren, Au Gres, MI; Steven (Liz) McLaren, Burt, MI; Daniel (Jody) McLaren, Breckenridge, MN; Alameda Eaves, Merced, CA; Lucille (Randy) Brown, Lincoln, NE; Christy (Dar) Anderson, Campbell, MN; Cindy (Gene) Kemper, Wenatchee, WA; Rae Jean McLaren and Penny Joy McLaren, both of Saginaw, MI; His special aunt and uncle: Robert (Dorothy) Baase, Saginaw, MI; Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by His grandparents and his good friend, Brad Abel.
Raymond Daniel McLaren was born March 21, 1971 in Saginaw, Michigan, the thirteenth child born to Raymond and Alameda (Baase) McLaren. When he was two years old he moved with his family to a farm near Foxhome, MN. Ray attended school in Breckenridge, MN, and graduated with the class of 1989. He then joined the National Guard and served as an engineer in Desert Storm. In 1993 Raymond attended NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND, and studied Occupational Therapy. He was married to Shawn Dohman on May 20, 1995 in Wahpeton. They lived in Nebraska and also Indiana, where his daughter, Jordan was born. They moved to Fargo, ND in 2000, and Ray was trained in finance. He became employed at Gateway Chevrolet in 2000, and has worked there as finance manager since.
Ray enjoyed riding motorcycle with Jordan and with his friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, golfing, and playing football. He liked to sing.
Ray was a hard worker and very dedicated dad to his daughter, Jordan. She was his pride and joy. He often told her how much he loved her and called her his "Pooh Bear."
