Paul Joseph LeNoue was born on September 26, 1940, to William and Frances (Underberg) LeNoue, in Breckenridge. He grew up and attended grade school in Kent, then high school in Breckenridge, from which he graduated in 1959. After his schooling, Paul entered basic training for the United States Army in September of 1959. He was stationed in Germany for two and a half years. Upon his return to Kent in 1963, he began farming on the family farm, which has been in the family since 1893.
Paul was united in marriage to Carol Neppl on June 22, 1965, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Breckenridge. The couple raised their family on the farm until moving to Breckenridge in 2016.
Paul was fond of woodworking, particularly at making rocking horses and toy chests, and had a knack for making unique artwork using horseshoes. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting and horseback riding. On the farm, Paul liked working with the livestock. Paul was a proud, hardworking man, and over the years did many odd jobs to support his family. He was always willing to lend a hand to help his neighbors. Paul was a lifelong member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Kent where he also served over 30 years on the St. Thomas Cemetery Committee.
Above all, Paul was a loving husband, father, uncle, and grandpa. He cherished spending time with his grandkids in many ways, from reading with them to attending their activities.
Paul is survived by his wife, Carol, of Breckenridge; his three daughters: Rebecca (Steve) Lahren, of Moorhead, MN, and children, Brianna and Candace Donnan; Rachel (Kim) Johnson, of Hoffman, MN, and children, Kayla and JoAnna Schneider; Sara (Randy) Bakken, of Wolverton, MN, and children, Eric, Samuel, and Dylan Bakken; his brother, George (Janet) LeNoue, of Lexington, KY; his sister, Edith (Jack) Kritzberger, of Moorhead, MN; and seven nieces.
