, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at his home, after a year long battle with cancer.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Breckenridge. Fr. Kenneth Popp will be officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home,

was born on January 4, 1926 at

, Breckenridge, to Jacob and Kathryn (Richels) Caspers.
He grew up on the family farm (Willow Creek Dairy Farm) east of town.
Milan
wed Mary Moore on November 10, 1944 in
Fergus Falls
,
MN
.
He worked on the family farm until he found employment at a paper mill in
Scanlon
,
MN
in 1945.
Milan
moved back to Breckenridge and he and Mary started their family, which eventually grew to include nine children.
Milan
began a long career as a truck driver at that time.
He first worked for Johnson Brothers and then Schuler Grain.
In 1954
Milan
went into business for himself as an owner-operator, buying, selling and hauling grain as well as a variety of freight for local businesses. He successfully ran his business until he retired in 1990.
Milan
continued to drive for TLP Trucking and then later drove bus for the
Breckenridge
School District
.
Milan
belonged to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Breckenridge, the Catholic Order of Foresters and Knights of Columbus. He was also active in both the Eagles and Elks Clubs.
Milan
enjoyed bowling, traveling, all forms of automotive racing and taking his family members to the races. A highlight of his life was putting over two million miles on his 1971 Peterbilt before his retirement. His greatest love was spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband and father committing his life to their well being and happiness.
