Mary Ann Neubauer, 78, of Breckenridge, MN, passed away at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND, on Wednesday, January 07, 2015. The visitation will be at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge on Saturday, January 10, from 2:00PM to 3:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3:00. Pastor Mark Manning will be officiating. The interment will be at a later date.
Mary Ann was born January 25, 1936, at Rosholt, SD to Charles and Anna (Enwiller) Garvey. Her elementary education was received from Rosholt School, and then graduated from Breckenridge Senior High School in 1954. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt. On March 28, 1969, Mary Ann was united in marriage to Brian "Sam" Neubauer. They lived at Brushvale, MN, until 1976, at which time they moved to Breckenridge, where she lived until her passing.
Mary Ann was a licensed group Day Care Provider from 1976 until 2000, blessing many families with a happy, loving, and secure environment for their children. She enjoyed music, sketching and drawing, playing bingo, and trips to the casino. She was an active member of Breckenridge Lutheran Church.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Sam of Breckenridge, MN; her son, Kevin Walker of Dallas, TX; her 4 grandchildren, Cari (James) Ridley, Jayson (Jen) Storo, Samuel (Elisha) Storo, and Mari Walker; and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna, her daughter, Brenda Storo; son-in-law, Jay Storo; and her brother, Dwain Garvey.
