Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lois Belle Klein, age 87, of Wahpeton, ND, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at First Baptist Church, Wahpeton. Burial was held in Riverside Cemetery, Breckenridge. Arrangements were entrusted to Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN.
Lois was born in 1935 to Roy & Ethel Denler in Langdon, ND.
After Lois graduated from Langdon High School in 1954, she married the love of her life, Ed Klein two years later (1958).
Lois was a godly wife, mother, & homemaker who modeled Christ-like love to others (especially to her children). After her children had grown, she worked as a cook at Wahpeton Centennial School for 10 yrs.
Lois left a legacy of godly love and hospitality. There was no hesitation by Ed and Lois to open up their home to others (both inside and outside of the church) for Sunday dinners.
After retiring from her work as a School cook, Lois continued to focus on loving & caring for her household. She enjoyed watching church services on TV and reading (& listening) to the Bible on tape with her beloved husband Ed. She also enjoyed attending NDSCS (& Wahpeton High School) basketball games with Ed.
Lois, who is a born-again Christian and who is at this moment in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ will be missed.
Lois is the last of the Denler family. She leaves behind her beloved husband Ed of 64 yrs, four children (Jeff Klein, Loralynn Olson, Mark Klein, & Todd Klein (deceased), five grandchildren (Judah, Josiah, Amos, Philip, Jordan), & three great-grandchildren (Elijah, Aurora, and Elise).
Lois was preceded in death by her parents (Roy & Ethel Denler), Sisters (Glenna Jean Fast & Sharon Bailey), brothers (James Denler & Bruce Denler), & son (Todd Klein).
