LaVonne was born on June 30, 1937, to Minnie (Colosky) and Gilbert Jorgenson in Cutbank, MT. When LaVonne was eight, her family moved to Wendell, MN where she attended school and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. LaVonne received her GED in Elbow Lake, MN. LaVonne was employed as a nanny in Minneapolis, MN for a short time before she married Ervin Viken in Wendell, MN on December 12, 1959. She was sure to never miss a game of bingo!
A memorable moment in LaVonne’s life was a trip to Cutbank, Montana, in 2018 where she was able to visit the town that she spent her early years in. This had always been on her bucket list.
