Kristen's journey on this earth began on October 11, 1965, the oldest of four children to Mary and Terry Boldingh. Kristen was a beacon of strength and compassion throughout her life's endeavors. Graduating from Breckenridge High School in 1984 was just the beginning of her educational achievements; she went on to earn a degree as a dietician from North Dakota State University. She cared for many as a dietician for a number of years and most recently worked for RDO.
Family was the cornerstone of Kristen's life, and she took immense pride in nurturing her children with love and tenderness. Her proudest accomplishments always centered around her family—their successes were her greatest joy and she was there for all of them. Kristen's selfless nature extended beyond her immediate family; she adored being a grandmother and eagerly anticipated welcoming her newest grandchild into the world.
Kristen's vibrant spirit found solace in various activities that brought her joy—whether it be horseback riding, enjoying a friendly game of cards, or exploring new destinations through travel adventures. Her love for music resonated deeply within her soul, and she cherished every moment spent catching up with friends over phone calls.
A pillar of faith and community, Kristen was actively involved in her church where she dedicated herself to volunteering in any capacity possible. Her boundless generosity touched the lives of many within the congregation and beyond. Despite facing health challenges with unwavering grace and courage, Kristen never let on to the extent of her suffering; she remained steadfast in her resilience till the end.
She is survived by her children, Caryn (Noah) Brenden, and Paul (Elizabeth) Meindl; grandchildren, Cooper Brenden and anxiously awaited, Baby B; husband, Chad Gross; parents, Mary and Terry Boldingh; siblings, Michael (Jill) Boldingh, Peter (Amy) Boldingh, and Amy (Jason) Severson; nieces and nephews, Olivia (Parker) Giroux, Charles (Fiancé, Madison Berg) Boldingh, Lexi (Chazz) Johnson, Clare Boldingh, Wyatt Severson, Shane Severson, Savannah Severson, Amy (Matthew) Borgen, and Kaci Meindl; and many other loving family members.
Kristen was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; uncle, John Olson; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Viola and Edward Gross.
Kristen Ann Meindl touched our hearts with grace and left an imprint of love that time cannot erase. May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she was truly loved by all who knew her.
