James Angstman

May 12, 1986 — August 2, 2015

James Elton Angstman, 29, passed away unexpectedly at his home near Campbell, MN, on Sunday, August 2, 2015. There will be a visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, followed by the Memorial Service at 2:00, on Friday, August 7, at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge. Pastor Dean Bjorlin will be officiating. The interment will be at Riverside Cemetery near Campbell.
James was born in Mora, MN, on May 12, 1986, to James Hintz and Bonny Angstman. Following his formal education, James worked several jobs in the Mora area before moving to Bradley, SD. He worked with Daniel Anderson, hauling tractors and scrap metal throughout the United States. He met the love of his life, Deanna Anderson, and together, they set out to realize their dream of owning acreage and farming. That journey eventually brought them to the Red River Valley, living in Wheaton, MN, for a short while, and then buying their farm in rural Campbell. On September 19, 2009, James married Deanna at their farm where they resided with their two dogs, Max and Rosie. Currently, he was working for Doug and Alana Christensen of Christensen Farms.
James loved the serenity of living in the country and the challenge of working on the farm. He was hired for his many skills and respected for his incredible work ethic. He understood the value of putting perfection in all that he did, whether it was farming, building, improving the homestead, or gardening. He had a particular fondness for Alaska and was making future plans to visit and eventually move there.
James is survived by his wife of six years, Deanna; his mother, Bonny (Randy) Morris of Campbell; his father, James Hintz of Mora; his brother, Jeremy (Azaria) Angstman of Oakes, ND, and their children, Monty, Savannah and Elizabeth; his sisters, Misty (Lief) Angstman of Rush City, MN, and their children, Emmalee and Hannah; Megan (Jeff) Angstman and their children, Brett, Kaden, Ava, and Kiptyn of Mora; Vanessa Hintz of Oakdale, MN; and Dezera Hintz of Mora; his grandmother, LaVonne Angstman of Mora; and several nieces and nephews.
