George "Keith" Robertson, 74, of Breckenridge, MN, passed away on Tuesday, October, 27, 2015, at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, ND. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Breckenridge, MN. Visitation will take place prior to the Mass between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. Father Joseph Backowski and Father Joseph Herzing will be Concelebrants. The interment will be at Union Cemetery, Ottertail, MN.
Keith was born on November 9, 1940 in Crookston, MN to Milne and Celine (Coninx) Robertson. After graduating from Argyle High School, he served in the U.S. Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He then attended the University of North Dakota, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Law Degree, and a Juris Doctor Degree. He was united in marriage to Martha Lubinski of Crookston, MN on June 19, 1965.
In 1967, Keith moved to Breckenridge, MN, where he practiced law for over 47 years. During that time, he also served as the Wilkin County Attorney. He was a member of several legal organizations, including the American Bar Association, State Bar Association of Minnesota, and was licensed to practice before the Minnesota Supreme and Federal District Courts.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and friendly conversations with his clients and "coffee buddies". Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family at Ottertail Lake.
Keith is survived by the love of his life, Martha; three children, Anita (Chris) Anderson; Paul (Janell) Robertson; Gail Robertson; five grandchildren, Luke Anderson, Jason Anderson, Eric Anderson, Jessica Shegstad, and Michael Robertson; two sisters, Helen Graf and Margaret Hunt; and many relatives and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his son, Scott; his parents and five brothers.
