George was born on October 24, 1925 to Frederick and Josephine (Vikouk) Pazdernik in Breckenridge, MN. He grew up on the family farm which his grandparents had established in 1875. He attended country school through the 8th grade then went to Breckenridge Senior High-graduating in 1944. Following high school, George joined the US Army. After completing basic training he served in WWII in Japan and the Philippines. He was discharged in 1946. He then returned to the home farm and worked with his father.
George was united in marriage to Ellen Henger on October 22, 1960 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Mooreton, ND. Together they made their home and raised their 2 children on the family farm-continuing Pazdernik tradition for the next generation. George and Ellen lived on the farm until his health failed and he moved to St. Francis Nursing Home on June 26, 2009.
You could often see George frequenting auction sales always on the look out for Minneapolis Moline Tractors. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, American Legion and a life member of the VFW. He loved to listen to old-time music and he treasured time spent with his family.
George is survived by His wife Ellen; his son Charles (Miriam Aukerman) Pazdernik of Grand Rapids, MI; his daughter Lisa Pazdernik of Apple Valley, MN; 2 granddaughters: Thea Dale Pazdernik and Cara George Pazdernik; 3 sisters: Pauline Van Krevelen of Crystal, MN; Helen Mulvey of New Hope, MN and Mary (Pasquale) Croce of Crystal, MN.
George is preceded by his parents, Frederick and Josephine (Vikouk) Pazdernik; his brother Gerald Pazdernik and his sister, Irene Pazdernik.
