Frederick James Walter, 76, of Campbell, MN, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016, at CHI St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge, MN. The Celebration of Life service was at 3:00 PM, Monday, October 17, at Evergreen United Methodist Church in Wahpeton, ND. There was a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Jen Tyler was the officiant of the service.
Frederick "Fred" Walter was born on August 23, 1940, in Breckenridge, MN, to James and Lovola (Deike) Walter. Fred will be greatly missed by his wife Janice; his children, Bonnie (Larry) Donis of Williston, ND, James Walter of Breckenridge, Becky (Mike) Erickson of Bozeman, MT, Beverly Peterson of Monmouth, OR, Jeffery (Angela) Walter of Arlington, MN, Brenda (Dave) White of St. Paul, MN, and John (Jennifer) Walter of Campbell; his grandchildren, Nicole Ordrachek, Joshua Donis, Christopher and Ashley Donis, Jason and Corry Donis, Alicia and JD Roth, Derek Erickson, Andrew Erickson, Kelsey Erickson, Amanda and John Hook, Victoria and Travis Churich, Kayla Peterson, Daniele Peterson, Eric Peterson and Ashley Domres, Jonathon and Marly Walter, Abbigale Walter, Allison Walter, Sara White and Daniel Lehmann, Kevin White, James White, Tristan Walter and Becca Kirkwood, and Samantha Walter; his great- grandchildren, Emily Peterson, Bentlee Ordrachek, Drake Roth, Zander Roth, Jazmine Roth, Harper Donis, Lyla Donis, Aqua Donis, Tyler Hook, Makenzie Hook, Lorelei Hook, Aubrie Christensen, Jordan Peterson, Remi Evans, Kyra Evans, Ethan Lehmann, Peyton Domres, (due to arrive11-11-16: Lea Walter); his siblings, JoAnn Meyer, LaVon Otto, Kelvin (Paulette) Hoeft, Donna Hanson, Lois Perkins, MaryAnn (Jerry) Layton, Linda (Dan) Rezac, Gary Miller, Teresa Altenbernd, and Richard (Monica) Miller.
Fred is preceded in death by, his parents, James Edgar and Lavola (Deike) Walter; his daughter, Kay Marie Walter; two grandsons, Kane Peterson and Trent Ordrachek; his brothers-in-law, Arven Meyer, Kenneth Hanson, Butch Perkins, Gerald Otto, and Ron Radke; and his stepfather, Marvin Hoeft.
