Cheryl Desjarlais

Cheryl Desjarlais, 55, passed away in her home on October 28, 2016, in the presence of her loved ones. She was born on October 8, 1961, in Mankato, MN, to James and Ardis Guthrie. In 1988, Cheryl moved to Breckenridge, MN. Over the years she enjoyed interacting with her customers at the various convenience stores she worked at in the area. Her love for people drew her to St. Catherine's Living Center in Wahpeton, ND, where she treasured the residents she worked with.
Cheryl lived a colorful life. As a lover of nature, she liked to spend time at her parent's property near Strawberry Lake, MN. She also enjoyed working with her hands on crafts, decorating, and home improvement projects. Cheryl was anything but ordinary and those that knew her were drawn to her individuality and uniqueness.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and ex-husband Gabriel Desjarlais. She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Guthrie of San Antonio, TX; son, Dylan Desjarlais (Stacy Millage) of Detroit Lakes, MN; grandson, Michael Desjarlais of Detroit Lakes, MN; sister, Sheila Conner of Detroit Lakes, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
