CATHERINE A. DOHMAN, 92, Breckenridge , MN , died January 21, 2010 at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge , MN . The funeral will be Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Breckenridge , MN with Father Kenneth Popp officiating. The visitation will be Monday, January 25, 2010 from 4pm to 7pm with Christian Mothers Rosary at 4pm and prayer service at 7pm. at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery , Breckenridge , MN

Catherine was born February 8, 1917 near Cayuga, ND, the daughter of Adam and Gertrude (Gregor) Neiber. She grew up and attended school in Milnor , ND and later moved to Breckenridge , MN with her family where she completed her education.

On May 20, 1936 she was married to August Dohman at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Breckenridge. They always made their home on the farm south of Breckenridge. In their later years they enjoyed spending winters in Apache Junction, AZ and taking bus trips with the Farmer’s Union . August preceded her in death in 1992. Catherine continued living on the farm until she moved to the York Manor in Breckenridge. She has recently resided at Twin Town Villa in Breckenridge.

Catherine was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the altar society and a member of Christian Mothers for 20 years. She enjoyed playing cards and Bunko, Homemakers, fishing, working at the Breckenridge Senior Center , working as a volunteer with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and was a member of the Red Hats. She was also a member and past president of the Catholic Order of Foresters. She always enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Catherine is survived by: her daughters: Betty (Ray) Hansen, Sioux Falls , SD ; and Deborah (Scott) Walker , Cheyenne , WY ; her daughter-in-law: Marilyn Dohman, Breckenridge , MN ; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Gertrude Neiber; her husband, August Dohman; her son, Robert Dohman; and her brothers, William, Joseph, and Virgil Neiber.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation or the Breckenridge Senior Center .
