Barry Joseph Krump

Barry “Bare” Krump, age 56, passed away peacefully at his home in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota on January 10, 2025. Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2025, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge, MN. Rene Hasbargen will officiate the service. Arrangments have been entrusted to Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home. 

Barry was born on March 19, 1968 in Breckenridge, MN, to Art and Bernice (Braun) Krump. He grew up on the family farm outside Kent until he graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1986. He earned his college degrees in Automotive Mechanics, Electrician and Accounting. Barry united in marriage to Onnalee Miller on March 5, 2010. Barry worked as a Mechanic, Electrician, Siding Applicator and most recently a Truck Driver for Ballard Sanitation. 

Barry was a social butterfly and was always there to lend a hand to his friends, whether it be to borrow a tool, fix your boat motor or build a camper deck. He mostly enjoyed fishing, especially ice fishing and catching the ‘eyes.’ Barry knew right where to park that house on the lake to catch ‘em too! He enjoyed watching the Vikings, not too much though or they might lose! 

Barry is survived by his mother, Bernice Krump of Breckenridge; wife, Onnalee Krump of Pelican Rapids; son, Zach (Colleen) Fink and granddaughters Michaela, Joey, Jean, and Delaney all of Las Vegas, NV; son, Kyle Krump of Pelican Rapids; daughter, Megan (Brian) Kibler and grandsons Archie and Gus all of West Fargo, ND; step-son, Kevan (Tish Krueger) Miller and grandchildren Kiefer, Kaidyn, Klohie Miller and Sidney Krueger all of Horace, ND; brothers, Jim (Jeanette) Krump, Cook (Shelly) Krump, and Dike (Janelle) Krump; sisters, Connie (Darin) Solien and Rhonda (Darrin) Gorden; father and mother in law, Doug and Rhoda Miller of Pelican Rapids; brother in law, Scott (Angela) Miller of Moorhead; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Barry was preceded in death by his father Art Krump.
