Art Krump

Art Krump, 94, of Kent, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2024, surrounded by his family.  His funeral mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Kent, MN.  There will be recitation of the rosary at 9:30 a.m., with visitation starting at 10 a.m.  Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery, Kent.  Father Leo Moenkedick will officiate the service.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Minnesota.

Art was born February 2, 1930, to Peter and Ella (Foertsch) Krump in Mantador, North Dakota.  He was united in marriage to Bernice Braun on November 20, 1951.  Together they raised their six children on a farm north of Kent, Minnesota.  Art was an active member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Kent.

Art is survived by his wife of 72 years, Bernice; his two daughters, Connie (Darin) Solien, Rhonda (Darrin) Gorden; four sons, Jim (Jeanette) Krump, Cook (Shelly) Krump, Dike (Janelle) Krump, Barry (Onnalee) Krump; grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Walter, Chad (Samantha) Krump, Ashley (Jake) Mauer, Pete (Lindsay) Jacobson, Jennifer (Jory) Steinkraus, Tyler (Kala) Krump, Ben Krump, Emily (Pat) Griffin, Megan (Brian) Kibler, Kyle Krump, Kevin Miller, Jack Gorden, Christan (Kevin) Pietruszewski, Shannan Gorden; and several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Richland-Wilkin Food Pantry.
