Peachy Mohs was born on July 2, 1935 in Wahpeton, ND, the youngest of six children born to Charles and Bertha (Albright) Mohs. She grew up and attended school in Wahpeton. On September 1, 1951, Peachy was united in marriage to Helmer "Whitey" Rensvold in Moorhead. Shortly after, Whitey entered the US Army and served in Korea. Peachy lived with her mother and her mother-in-law during that time. After his discharge, the couple lived in the Breckenridge/Wahpeton communities. They were blessed with three sons, and while raising them, Peachy worked part-time at St. Francis Nursing Home and Cal's Diner, both in Breckenridge, before her employment at Robanks in Wahpeton. She was a faithful employee at Robanks for 31 years, until her retirement in 2001. Whitey passed away on March 25, 1982.
Peachy loved to pass the time playing cards. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas baking, especially her grandchildren's favorite, Peanut Butter Balls. She was fond of Big Band Polka music and looked forward to visiting with family and friends. She loved being a grandma and the opportunities she had to spend time with them were priceless to her.
Peachy will be missed by her three sons, Harlen Rensvold of Campbell, MN, Avery "Bill" (Laura) Rensvold of Fargo, ND, and Orvin "Bob" (Terry) Rensvold of Barnesville, MN; her 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Pauline Mohs of Wahpeton. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bertha; her husband, Whitey; her great-granddaughter, Caylin Jodock; her daughter-in-law, Val Rensvold; her three sisters, Arletta, Magdalene, and Marlys; and her two brothers, James and Delmar.
